NEW MEMBER REGISTRATION

We are delighted to have you join as a new member of the Cooperative Professionals Guild. Please use the form below to apply.  If you were a member during 2023, please use instead the member renewal option described here and in the renewal email sent to 2023 members.

2024 Membership benefits include:

  • Free monthly webinars on cooperative law and accounting topics, with CLE credit opportunities for lawyers;
  • Free access to our webinar recording library from February 2021 to date;
  • Member Directory participation;
  • Guild listserv membership for exchanging questions, news, and information;
  • Discounted fees for our 2024 conference; and
  • Eligibility for election to the Stewardship Circle as a CPG director/steward.

Most importantly, your membership entitles you to join and grow the Guild’s operating circles that undertake all the work we do to fulfill our mission of educating and supporting cooperative professionals, especially professionals who are from or who serve disadvantaged and marginalized communities. We are an all-volunteer organization and we encourage all members to pitch in to develop additional programs, services and opportunities. If you have an interest in seeing the Guild undertake new initiatives consistent with our objectives, you are invited to propose and help organize them.

New member eligibility:  We welcome attorneys, accountants, paralegals and bookkeepers, and students of law and accounting, who are serving or interested in serving cooperatives to join the Cooperative Professionals Guild as voting members with governance rights.  We have a single class of membership and all members have the same rights as described in our Bylaws and Policies and Procedures Manual which are linked to in the registration form below.

Student registration: Students with an interest in serving cooperatives who are currently studying law, tax or accounting are welcome to join as members of the Guild without charge by choosing the Student Member registration tier below. People registering as students may be asked to complete the supplemental form at this link before their registration is complete.

Subscriber registrationIf you're not eligible for membership but would like to participate in some of the Guild's programming, you can find out more about our Subscriber program and register as a Subscriber here.

REGISTRATION PROCESS - please read before registering below:

1. Pick a membership dues level in the registration form below.  We have a single class of membership and all members have the same rights and benefits, but we have several member dues levels ranging from $80 to $200 to ensure that all who are eligible can participate.  If we already have your email address in our system from a prior event or member registration, you may be asked to log in so your new member application is associated with your previous contact information. If you're prompted for a password you've forgotten, request a new one.

2. Complete the membership profile that constitutes your membership application. After that, while in your profile/registration form, change your privacy settings for each field to indicate which fields of information we may display in our public-facing member directories (if any). These two pages illustrate how. Only a few profile fields are required but we recommend completing the profile as fully as your time permits so other members can benefit from getting to know you better.  Mandatory fields are prefaced with a red asterisk '*' .  Fields prefaced with a "+" will be included in our Member Directory listing pages if your profile privacy settings permit this.   After you become a member, you'll be able to update and change your profile and privacy settings anytime by logging in as member.

3. Pay your dues or request an invoice after you confirm your application.  If you request an invoice, one will be emailed to you with a link to pay later by credit card. The invoice will also immediately appear as a link from your profile so you can also pay later by returning to your profile.  Your application will be complete after your dues have been received or after you confirm your registration for a no-dues membership tier.

4. Look for an email from "Coop Professionals Guild <Coopguild@wildapricot.org>confirming your membership has been activated. Please make sure your email settings allow emails from this address.  You'll receive a separate email with a password for logging into this site as a member and a welcome email from our Membership Circle explaining more about member benefits, participation opportunities and use of this website.
