October Webinar: 10/27: Union Co-op Legal Issues with Ariana Levinson

Join us on Thursday, October 27th at 10am PT/1pm ET for a presentation on union co-op issues by Professor Ariana Levinson. Professor Levinson is a fellow in the Rutgers School of Management & Labor Relations Institute for the Study of Employee Ownership & Profit Sharing. You can register here. Dr. Levinson has included suggested reading material for this event which is available on the event registration page. 

Webinar recordings and CLE note:  Our members-only recordings library includes links to our past webinars. Currently, CPG offers California CLE credit for qualifying webinars. 2023 CPG Conference

Get in touch with other members using the CPG listserv or Directory

Cooperative Professionals Guild members who would like to send a message to all CPG other members can use the CPG listserv by emailing members@professionals.coop. This is a great way to ask for advice or share exciting co-op news before the next newsletter comes out.  Also remember, you can directly email any member in the Directory by clicking the "Send Message" button shown at the top of their profile.

Member news and community listings   

  • October is cooperative month! The theme this year is “Cooperatives Build Economic Power”. Read more on the coopmonth.coop site

  • There are two more webinars in Bernstein Shur’s Co-op 101 webinar series, which are being held from 11am-12pm on a series of five Wednesdays: Human Resources Best Practices on October 26 and Housing Co-ops: Now and the Future on November 2nd. Registration for each can be found on the links provided. 

  • Terrapin Legal PLLC and the Spokane [WA] Bar Association are co-hosting an all-day CLE event, “Psychedelic law demystified: what to know when psychedelic legislation comes to your jurisdiction”, on November 3rd. CLE credit is available in Washington state. More info is available in this LinkedIn post, this social media post, and this registration link.

  • Mark your calendars: Sogorea Te’ Land Trust is hosting a webinar on “Land Return / Return to Land” on November 16th. More information will be available soon at this link.

We always welcome co-op related content suggestions and contributions to our newsletter. Short posts may be included in the newsletter that link to fuller information or articles on an external website or CPG blog.
